I've always believed in taking care of my skin. I've had European facials each month and then I began purchasing spa-quality products for every day use at home. So over the past year or so I've found some pretty amazing dupes for my home spa facials.

What I like about Sublime Beauty is that the company's CEO, Kathy H. understands that true skincare beauty starts from within. She and I are also on the same page when it comes to Dry Brushing which is one of the best things you can do to keep your skin glowing and gorgeous. I would recommend starting off with those two basic products: Phytoceramides + Dry Skin Brushing. Within a week you will notice that you do not need bottles of body oil or lotion after your bath. Your skin's tone will also improve looking buffed and more toned.

Face Whisperer Neck & Decollete Cream is another favorite of mine from the FW Collection. We often do not pay ample attention to this delicate area until it's too late but this cream will quickly bring you back from years of neglect. Personally, I apply the Face Whisperer Neck & Decollete cream and Collagen Serum just before my Caribbean Sun Light Therapy Treatment each morning. This Neck and Decollete formula is very similar to the Face Whisperer Day with Argireline cream but comes in an airless pump dispenser which I believe keeps the ingredients more stable. Here is the description from the SublimeBeautyShop.com website:

Now, I really don't have too many problems with my neck and decollete as I religiously apply G.M. Collin SPF 50+ Sunblock everyday rain or shine. Still it is a very good insurance policy for future lines and wrinkles.

Sublime Beauty Collagen Serum Peptide Rich is very light so I like to apply it before the richer creams which contain oil. It sinks into the skin like water so you can easily  use up a container very quickly. Here's the 411 from the SB website:

Some clever cheats to make you look sleeker in just ONE week!

Oh no!  You've just gotten an invitation to a beach or pool party.  Take hold of yourself and don't panic.  All you need is ONE week to transform yourself into the swimsuit diva within.  So what's the crash plan?

BRUSH UP YOUR FIGURE
We've already covered the benefits of dry brushing with a how - to video under Get Glowing: Dry Brushing but it bears repeating.  Use a simple boar bristle brush or loofah and brush arms, legs and torso with long strokes towards your heart.  Follow with a shower with a Clarisonic Body Brush. You should see a difference after three days, especially if you apply Skinny Tone afterwards.

SUNLESS SPRAY TANNING
If you're really in a hurry, you can cheat a lovely tan in a few hours with an airbrush.  We like Dinair's Sunless Tanning Airbrush Set.  This works especially well if you've already done the Dry Brushing routine as the tanning solution will go on much more evenly.

SUNLESS TANNING CREAMS

While you'll have to figure out which creams work best for your particular skin tone, a few drugstore brands I like include Jergens Natural Glow Series.  The Jergens Natural Glow FIRMING is what you want as it contains seaweed and will firm you up in about 7 Days.  The Jergens Natural Glow PROTECT has sunblock and will give you color plus UVA protection.

SKIN SHIMMER
You can top off your sleek looking faux tan with a little shimmer which always gives you that healthy, beachy glow.  Victoria's Secret is known for using their own glittery products on their Angels lingerie models but you can take a page from them.  I like Hawaiian Tropic's Shimmer Effect which is a SPF 20 lotion sunscreen with mica minerals.  


BEACH BODY NUTRITION

A Nutritional Program for a sleeker you in 7 Days!

While I surely do NOT advocate crash or fad diets, this protocol is a healthy alternative to boost your metabolism, facilitate an inner cleanse and lower body fat all without losing important muscle mass.  Here's the food program to follow for one week:

Morning:  Upon awakening, take one Terry's Naturally Tri-Iodine Capsule.  This will jump start your metabolism for the day and give your thyroid the nutrition it needs to perform at its peak.

Breakfast is one 8 oz serving of Rainbow Light's WHEY Protein Energizer.  If you are really hungry in the morning, add 1/2 banana or 1/2 tbsp Natural Peanut, SunButter or coconut oil to the mix and blend.

Sometimes you just need to balance out things a bit. Get Glowing! Dry Brushing

What is Dry Brushing?
Dry brushing has been around for more than 25 years and was first made popular by health author, Paavo Airola.  It has been a long term staple treatment in European Spas.  Dry Brushing is a very simple yet effective way to stimulate the lymphatic system which is responsible for helping to rid the body of toxins.  Cellulite represents an accumulation of fat but also stored toxins from years of exposure to pollutants.  Dry brushing also improves the look and function the skin while stimulating the nervous system and improving muscle firmness.

You can best benefit from dry brushing by purchasing a natural bristle, boar's hair brush or even a loofah will work.  Upon arising, do not wet your skin or shower; save that for after your treatment.  Using a dry brush on your dry skin, begin at the feet and brush upwards towards your heart in smooth long strokes.  Do this while including the trunk, buttocks and upper extremities which should take between 2-5 minutes.  The main goal is to increase blood flow which will show with your skin turning a healthy pink.  Now you can shower and remove any loosened dead skin cells dislodged during your brushing.  In the shower, I like to use a natural Goat Milk bar soap with a glycerin base.  This type of organic soap is nourishing and non-drying.  If you wish an even deeper cleansing after your dry brushing, gently glide a Clarisonic Ultrasonic Skincare Brush over your skin.  You will find that your lotions & oils penetrate more effectively after doing so.
