This summer's look calls for bronzed, blushed, and beautiful bare-skinned vibes! We've completely left behind over-made-up, heavily contoured, and thick layers of foundation that obscure every freckle like a mask.  No, we're not doing that this summer!  Check out these new products and makeup artist techniques for your best seasonal look ever.

Primer Power: Physician's Formula Butter Believe It

A good primer is always going to be your key to using less foundation while making it last longer throughout the day. A new one I've discovered is Physician's Formula Butter Believe It. This is a putty primer with a buttery, moisturized feel with no added sheen. Just use a little and you're good to go.

Color Correction, Illuminators & Concealers

A light application of color correction and concealer should go on as your next step before foundation. I like Temptu's Color Correctors and Foundation AirPods as they are airbrushed on ever so lightly and work well with most concealers if applied first. My favorite concealer for summer is NYX's Born to Glow.

Another seasonal standout is Ilia's Super Serum Skin Tint which I believe is similar to YSL's NU line only Ilia has an SPF of 40.  Very sheer but gives your skin a beautiful lit-from-within glow.  I've often just used this without added foundation. Really pretty! www.iliabeauty.com

The ultimate base illuminator however is Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (made in Italy) which also contains fillers similar to a primer.  This is simply gorgeous on bare skin and can be used under airbrushed foundations.  The key here is a super light application as air-brushed makeup traditionally uses only about 4-5 drops of foundation. 

Foundation, Blush, Glitter Dust, and Highlighters, the finishing touch!

So now you're ready for foundation (if you like) and those last finishing touches of blush, lip color, and highlighter.

Airbrushed Foundation: The Temptu Air airbrush compressor is very small and travels well. Likewise, the Kett Jett is available in a smaller travel model that works perfectly with their Hydro Foundations. Keeping everything super light are those cosmetics that go on smoothly, even over airbrushed foundations such as Temptu and Kett Jett which require little or no setting powder.

Contour & Blush: NARS Illuminating Loose Powder can be used as both and gets applied with the Esum G 53 that's fluffy and light. Add to areas where the sun kisses your cheeks, temples, and forehead.  

Lips & Cheeks: Another favorite pigment that's sheer for warmer weather is Milk Makeup's Werk for Lip & Cheek. One stick that does double duty and packs easily for trips to the beach.

Highlighting: Chanel's Le Gel Paillette is gorgeously infused with gold flecks and gives a natural sheer, sheen to the tops of cheekbones and forehead. 

Sheer Overall Shimmer: Pretty Vulgar Glitter Dust 151 Attention Seeker is gold glitter powder in an atomizer making it easy to apply anywhere on the body.  Go crazy!  Gives you that "rolled-in-the-sand" beachy look.  Amazing!  www.prettyvulgar.com

New Summer Eye & Cheek Palettes

I'd recommend keeping the rest of your makeup light such as a nude lip, (try Rinna Beauty's Lip Kits) and gunmetal eyeliner such as Revlon's Chrome Ink Liquid Liner.

The new V-Kosmetic Palette in Summer Glow (shown above) is really vibrant and intense. These pigments are matte and a bit dry but could work if you have extra oily skin in the heat.
